Have you ever worked in sales? Have you ever considered a career in sales? Have you ever applied for a sales position because someone said you would be good in sales? 

Here is a job listing for a sales position that I found online:

SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Are you a self-starter?

Do you have strong communication skills?

Do you have strong customer service skills?

Do you have a minimum 2 years sales experience?

Experience working with a salary and commission?

The people that write these job postings have probably never spent a day working in sales. The people that apply to these postings... Good luck to you; you’re going to need it. 

Have you ever heard sales managers say things like “practice your elevator speech," “recognize buying signals,” “be a closer?"
